Ohio - Responsible ProtocolsUpdated: April 28, 2020

As part of the Ohio responsible re-start, Governor Mike Dewine has established 5 protocols for all businesses to follow.

  • Face coverings are required for employees and strongly recommended for clients/customers.
  • Conduct daily health assessments by employers and employees (self-evaluation) to determine if “fit for duty.”
  • Maintain good hygiene at all times – hand washing, sanitizing and social distancing.
  • Clean and sanitize workplaces throughout workday and at the close of business or between shifts.
  • Limit capacity to meet social distancing guidelines, establishing maximum capacity at 50% of fire code and, use appointment setting where possible to limit congestion

Face coverings are recommended but not required at our dispensary. Patients can visit the CDC wesbite to learn how to make a face covering.

Bloom Medicinals Now Accepting Phone Orders

In an effort to support physical distancing, Bloom Medicinals is now offering our patients the ability to place orders by phone.

Steps to Place a Phone Order

To prepare your order, we encourage patients to utilize our online menu and check our current store hours. Once ready, please contact our staff by phone to submit your order.

When calling one of our locations, select option 3 to be connected to a staff member. Let them know you’d like to place a call ahead order.

If prompted to leave a message, please speak slowly and clearly and provide your full name, phone number, and item(s) requested. Try to be as specific as possible with the product type, name, weight and/or volume that you’re requesting. Once an order is received, one of our staff members will be in touch to confirm it’s ready for pickup.

Due to privacy concerns, our staff members are unable to discuss the number of days remaining on your prescription over the phone. For questions regarding your days remaining, please contact the Ohio Board of Pharmacy at 833-4OH-MMCP. You can also check the days remaining by logging into your personal account through the OHMM Registry

Upon arrival at the dispensary, you will check-in as you normally do and will be called back to the dispensary department to complete your purchase and receive your products. As always, the prices listed on our online menus already include taxes. But they do not include any veteran/indigent discounts you may be eligible for.

Please keep in mind that inventory availability changes quickly. All products are currently in high demand, and they are available on a first come, first serve basis. Until a staff member has confirmed your order by phone, requested items may not be available upon your arrival.

Patience is Needed

We are enforcing social distancing rules at all of our dispensaries and seating is limited in our waiting rooms. For this reason, we ask that you please wait for a phone confirmation before heading to the dispensary. If you have questions or wish to alter your order please contact staff via phone.

Call ahead orders will only be held until the end of the day that the order is placed. If our store is closed on the day your order is placed, it will be held until the end of the next day we're open. Because inventory is limited, if you decide to change or cancel your order, we ask that you please let us know as soon as possible. This will help us free up inventory for other patients who need it.

Call ahead ordering does not allow front of the line access to pick-up your purchase. If there are patients in line ahead of your position you will still need to wait for an available agent.

Our staff is working extremely hard to continue to keep our facilities operating. We appreciate your patience as making phone orders available places additional challenges on our staff to fulfill orders, maintain inventory, handle call volume, and keep all menus updated and accurate.

To Bloom Medicinals Patients and Visitors:

At Bloom Medicinals, the health of our patients and visitors is our foremost priority as we continue to navigate the evolving Coronavirus (COVID 19) situation. We know many of you may be feeling concerned by all the information that is being published and we wanted to inform you of the measures we are taking to protect our dispensary communities, help limit the spread of the virus, and ensure patient care remains uninterrupted.

We understand that access to our dispensaries is necessary for our patients and we want to ensure that those experiences are as safe as possible. Bloom Medicinals is closely following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as state and local health authorities. At this time, all Bloom Medicinals locations will remain open with appropriate measures to protect our patients and visitors.

We thought it might be useful to review some of the additional steps we are taking in our dispensaries as safeguards during this unusual time.

In our dispensaries we are:

  • Educating our employees on best prevention practices.
  • Requiring additional regular handwashing breaks and hand sanitizing with additional hand sanitizers made available in public areas.
  • Increasing frequency and oversight of daily cleaning, including multiple wipe-downs of high-touch surfaces and common spaces with additional disinfecting procedures.
  • Following new guidelines to ensure all staff are healthy before coming to work (to date, Bloom Medicinals has had no diagnosed or presumptively diagnosed cases of Coronavirus/COVID-19 among its employees).

Moreover, all patients with upper respiratory symptoms such as cough, fever, and shortness of breath will not be allowed into our waiting room to avoid the potential spread of infection. These patients will be instructed to call the local health department for further instructions on testing for COVID-19 (coronavirus).

While we all understand that this is a fluid situation that can change at any time, it is important that we remain diligent, follow the guidance of our public health leaders, and take the steps we can in order to reduce risk and ensure that Bloom Medicinals remains open to serve its patients.
